German School & Kindergarten Shanghai

The German School and Kindergarten Shanghai was founded in 1995 and is fully recognized by the German state. The school comprises of two locations – one in Puxi (EuroCampus, a campus shared with the French School) and another one in Pudong.

At the beginning of the school year 2011-12, a total of 890 children in Puxi and 290 children in Pudong attend the German School and its kindergarten.

The German School is a full-time school and offers, in addition to regular classes, a range of afternoon activities. Language of instruction in both, school and Kindergarten, is German and it is therefore essential for all students to have German skills on a native level. 

Please note that students with Chinese Nationality are not entitled to attend international schools but Chinese schools only.
